Samson Turns Two!

Guys, I am over here crying because my baby is turning two tomorrow! I feel so ridiculous because I have always been one of those people who though parents being upset about their kids being 1 or 2 was always so silly and now I am one of those people just with my dog! Which is probably way more silly then someones child! Samson is our baby though and it’s crazy that we have almost had this little guy in our lives for almost two years now.
We made the 12 hour drive (6 hours both ways) to Eganville Ontario on November 28th 2015 to pick up this cutie and bring him home. Truthfully the story behind how we got Samson is pretty funny, Tylor and I one night were just talking about how much we wanted to accomplish in our lives and what our goals were and silly as it may be one of our goals together was to own a dog! I grew up with cats so the idea of a puppy was kind of terrifying to me but I wanted a dog so bad and Tylor who grew up with a dog was 100% on board.
So on one fall evening I took to Kijiji in search of corgi and dachshund puppies because I was in love with both breeds, lucky for us a whole litter of little baby corgi’s popped up and we kind of just looked at each other and said if there are any puppies still available then it is meant to be and we should just go for it! I sent off that email and within minutes I received one back saying we were the first to contact and that if we wanted one it was ours! We took a day or two to actually decide, it was a huge decision and frankly pretty impulsive but we did it and now we can’t even imagine our lives without this little dude filling it with never ending love, cuddles and lets be honest the stress of an over protective dog owner!
So happy birthday to my handsome little ham! I love this guy so much and here is to many more years of unconditional love!
