Erica and Dan’s Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre Wedding
A super sweet fall 2022 wedding is making it’s way onto the blog today and I am so excited to be chatting about Erika and Dan’s Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre wedding day! Everything about their day was just perfect, from the details and colours to the lovely fall weather. Plus Ivey Spencer now offers a tent option for receptions and honestly the lighting and set up could not be better!
I first had the pleasure of meeting up with Erika and Dan last summer to capture their engagement photos at the always lovely, Fanshawe Conservation Area. Which has been a very popular spot lately as well! You can check out their adorable engagement session HERE!
When the day of the wedding finally rolled around, my second shooter and I headed to Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre. Everything from the getting ready to the late night party was all happening on site, which meant no travelling around at all! We began with Dan and his groomsmen capturing his details and getting ready for the day.
We then headed back upstairs to capture Erika getting ready, I am still so in love with her details and the colours they chose. The pinks and purples were just so fitting for an October wedding!
Erika and Dan opted to have a first look, which always excites me. I adore first looks and think that they are a wonderful options for so many reasons. First, they are such a special moment and photo op for the couple and second you get to capture all of your couples portraits and wedding party images before the ceremony! This was extra important to Erika and Dan as they wanted to be able to join their cocktail hour.
Following the first look, we moved into portraits and then the ceremony. One of the nice things about Ivey Spencer is the options they have for the ceremony set up and I love that Erika and Dan chose to have it facing the trees and building!
The rest of the day was full of lots of love, hilarious and heartfelt speeches, the most delicious food and a pretty popping dance party! I do also have to commend Erika and Dan on their table numbers as well, they had each table in memory of a passed loved one and it was just so special and meaningful. Each table included a portrait and a description of the person. What a special way to include passed loved ones in your wedding day!
