Family sessions are a great way to document memories at every stage in your lives from maternity into the teenage years. Children grow up so fast so why not have those precious moments captured of all of your families biggest milestones!
Let's have a good time and capture your family the way it is right now! Whether you are expecting your first child, celebrating a 2nd birthday or just want to snag updated images as your children enter high school. It is always the right time to treasure these lifelong memories through photography!
Families usually come to me when they want colourful, joyful and heartfelt moments captured during their session! As an easy-going yet experienced photographer, I want to capture who YOU are as a family through this time in your lives!

FAQ
What is the best time of day to schedule a family shoot?
Ideally the best time of day to shoot will always be in the evening to take advantage of the beautiful light known as golden hour! With children's schedules evening may not always be possible, working around when your child is happiest through the day is always best. Just try to avoid between 11am and 2pm as that is when the sun is at it's brightest and hottest!
What Should we wear?
Be sure to coordinate your outfits by finding a colour palette that you like and find pieces that compliment each other. Be sure to also choose clothes that are stylish yet comfy and feel free to add in patterns, layers and accessories to add more dimension to your images. Be sure to avoid large logos and white clothes and most importantly if you have young children be sure to grab a change of clothes in case of any accidents!
DO YOU DIRECT AND POSE DURING SESSIONS?
Please do not worry about what to do with your hands or feeling awkward in front of the camera. I got you! I will always direct you in several different poses while also using little tricks to grab those natural candid portraits! If you have small children, candid is good, getting them moving will lead to fun imagery.

💙August Photo Dump💙
August flew by! I feel like it just started and just like that, it’s over.
I’m pretty excited to get into the ‘ber months. It’s always my favourite time of year!
Some highlights from August...
💙 The BIGGEST highlight, my sister and brother in-law got married and it was the best day ever! So honoured to have gotten to stand by my sister’s side as she married her best friend. And also excited to finally be able to call Ziyad my brother in-law legally.🤣
💙 Tylor’s annual family reunion...mostly hanging out with my nephew.
💙 Hanging out with lots of pets, which brings me lots of joy and a little bit of sadness missing ours.
💙 Put together a shadow box and memory box for Samson🧡
💙 Documenting some of my fave outfits from the month.
💙 Getting my nails done and adding some cute new additions (aka figures) to my office.
💙 The rehearsal for my sister’s wedding and setting up all the lovely details!
💙 Second shooting for two of my favourites, @hopeharbourphotography and @mpushelbergphotography
💙 Seeing not one but two rainbows this month!
💙 Attending our first Renfaire in the pouring rain.
💙 And, photographing 2 elopements, an engagement session and a maternity session!
So here’s to the end of August and the beginning of September. I know a lot of people get sad when summer ends...I get excited!
