Meredith and Jake’s at Home Watford Ontario Wedding
Another sweet 2024 wedding is making its way onto the blog today and it’s an all time fave! Meredith and Jake tied the knot last June at their home in Watford Ontario with the most whimsical garden wedding. I am so excited to share all about it today!
When I first met Meredith and Jake, we connected pretty quick and I was so excited when they asked me to be their wedding photographer! I headed out to their home in June of 2023 to capture their engagement session. On the day of their wedding, my second shooter Meg from Meg Downey Photography and I headed out to Watford Ontario. We began the day capturing groom prep and then bride prep before heading into Meredith and Jake’s first look. They have the most gorgeous pond right in their front yard so we made sure to use it as much as possible for photos!
Following the first look, we did some couple portraits, including some with their dogs Lady and Sadie. When I asked them about their dog’s names it turned out that it was a complete coincidence that they rhymed as they each had their dog before they began dating! If that isn’t a sign from the universe that these two are perfect together, I don’t know what is.
We then did some wedding party photos and wandered around the property to capture all of the stunning details. From the colourful florals to the vintage inspired dish ware, everything suited their vision perfectly!
Their ceremony was set in front of the pond with lots of colourful florals. Meredith’s grandmother was the “flower grandma” a trend I am obsessed with and there were so many smiles and tears as Meredith and Jake said their I Do’s. They also planted a special tree that they watered as part of their ceremony symbolizing their love and new family.
Just as we were wrapping up the family portraits, a major rain storm moved in! Thankfully the clear tent was the perfect cover and the evening continued without a hitch. It was full of loving speeches, a sword cake cutting and lots of dancing.
Congratulations Meredith and Jake! I wish you so much happiness in your lives together. Oh, and they were keeping a pretty special secret at the wedding and just welcomed an adorable little boy!
