2021 Year In-Review
Good-Bye 2021 & Hello 2022
It’s here!! My 2021 Year In-Review is making it’s way onto the blog today and I am excited to wrap up 2021 and head into 2022. It was definitely another interesting year, maybe not as crazy as 2020 but a close second. We had to deal with more lockdowns, rule changes upon rule changes and for us wedding pros even more postponements. But I am not going to complain! I was still able to photograph several weddings, elopements and sessions. Plus we celebrated some major life milestones this past year as well.
In June, Tylor and I closed on our very first house!! We had to keep the secret for several months but on June 3rd we officially closed and could share the exciting news with everyone. Since then, we have been learning the ropes of home ownership, decorating for the different times of year and really making this home ours!
We also both turned 30 this year, which is a pretty big life milestone as well! Although Tylor ended up with a Covid Birthday in March, I was able to have a small party for mine which we were pretty excited about. Especially since we also got to show my closest friends our house, finally!
Another personal thing I have added, is last years (that is weird to say) Halloween costume! It was a goody and I am so happy it came together, mostly as planned. I even got my sister and her boyfriend in on the costume so we could complete the Scooby-Gang and I think it will go down as one of my favourite costumes!
On top of some exciting personal stuff, I got to capture 12 of my own weddings and elopements and even got to second shoot some super special days as well. Including a good photographer friends wedding with my past wedding photographer. I also dove more into family photography this past year and captured more smiling kiddos, expecting couples and cute dogs!
All in all, 2021 was a pretty decent year! It had it’s ups and it’s down but what year doesn’t. I am excited to be heading into the New Year and see what it has in store for us (hopefully less pandemic and more normalcy), so here is to a great up coming year!
