Alyssa and Burt’s Rainy Fall Wedding Day

Today’s blog is pretty special because I am sharing my very last wedding of 2017!
Alyssa and Burt met in Australia while Alyssa was there on a working vacation, they then got engaged in Mont Tremblant at the beginning of 2016 and the rest is history! Although their wedding day did not go as planned and we had to figure out a back-up plan in a hurry due to the rain, their day was still so lovely and I am so excited to be sharing it on the blog today!
We began the day at Alyssa and Burt’s industrial apartment in Ilderton Ontario to capture some details of Burt getting ready for the day! Burt had some of the coolest cufflinks I have ever seen or photographed!
We then made the drive right down the street to Alyssa’s parents home to capture all of her amazing fall inspired details and of course her gorgeous gown!
Due to rain the day didn’t quite go as planned, Alyssa and Burt had wanted an outdoor ceremony at their amazing wedding venue Bellamere Winery and Event Centre but the indoor space for ceremonies is just as gorgeous! With it’s beautiful fireplace, chandeliers and warm vibe it made for a lovely ceremony! Plus what made it extra special was Burt’s sister and father sang and played during Alyssa’s entrance and their signing!
Again, due to rain we needed to come up with a back up plan for their images and Bellamere came to the rescue! They called a little greenhouse down the road which let us in to do all of their bridal party and bride and groom images! Although it didn’t have the fall feel that these two were hoping for I still love how the images in the greenhouse turned out!
We returned to Bellamere to capture their travel inspired details, complete with a paper airplane themed seating chart! All of their centrepieces were also travel themed and they made sure to include little Australian details into their special day together! The rest of the evening was met with plenty of smiles, a surprise video chat for the bride and groom from the best man who unfortunately couldn’t make the wedding in time, amazing stories from family and friends and the sweetest first dance!
Congratulations Alyssa and Burt! Your day was absolutely stunning and I am so honoured have have gotten to meet the two of you, your families and friends and of course capture such a lovely day in your lives together!
