Kristine and Scott’s Disney Inspired Summer Wedding!
Bellamere Winery Wedding
June 17th 2017
Where do I even begin with this wedding day? It was perfect! Despite the crazy weather and tornado warning this wedding is hands down in the top 5 of my absolute favourite weddings of all time! I first met Kristine at the September bridal show and shortly after we scheduled a meeting at Williams downtown to chat about their wedding day! The conversation went from how they got engaged and how it did not go as planned, about their two adorable cats that they adopted together, about all of her Disney plans for the wedding day and all about how jealous I was of the milkshake she ordered! Needless to say we clicked right away and only a couple hours after our meeting they messaged me to book, I was so excited I honestly think I squealed (like actually haha).
We then went out in the dead of winter to capture their engagement session (you can see the blog post here) at Elsie Perrin Williams Estate and I got to get to know them all over again! We talked about their honeymoon and how Scott wanted to go somewhere super adventurous and exciting and how Kristine just really wanted to go back to Disney (can’t blame her for that one!). These two are the sweetest and hearing about how they literally grew up as next door neighbours and are high school sweethearts just melted my heart!
When their wedding day rolled around I was so thrilled! We began the day at Kristine’s parents house to capture all of her stunning details, including her beautiful Paloma Blanca gown from Petrov Bridal here in London, her lovely shoes, earrings and of course her bouquet done by La Belle Vita Floral! Plus how cute are these little hearts that her family put all around the backyard to decorate!
Fun game for this blog post, spot all the Disney references and characters! I was so excited when I saw this Anna and Elsa flag out front of her parents home!
We then walked one door down to Scott’s families house to capture his details and some quick shots of him getting ready as well! Not only is it adorable that they grew up together but it made the day so easy travel wise!
We then ran back to Kristine to capture the last bit of her getting ready! All of her bridesmaids, her flower girl and her mom helped her get into her stunning gown!
Also Kristine requested some images with their families cat Neeko who is 18 years old! She was the sweetest and I am so glad we were able to get some images with this sweet girl! Just as we were finishing up these photos and preparing to head outside for Scott and Kristine’s first look a HUGE storm rolled in. Tornado warning and all, and a change of plans were in order. We ended up moving their first look inside her parents home and although the location isn’t ideal, the reaction Kristine has is just perfect!
If your playing this little blog post game, here is Disney reference number two! A little scene from Cinderella 🙂
We then headed downtown to St Peters Basilica on Dufferin Ave (otherwise known as the huge beautiful church right beside Victoria Park) for their ceremony! By then the rain had stopped and for the rest of the day there was no rain in sight! Their ceremony was so lovely and I couldn’t get over all the exchanged looks these two gave each other! They are so in love and I adore little moments like that on a wedding day!
Following the ceremony we headed over to Bellamere Winery and Event Centre for their images and reception! Bellamere is always so gorgeous and rustic and it fit perfectly with their theme of the day “Happily Ever After”!
And this is what happens when you ask groomsmen if they have any ideas for a photo together, enter the one ring to rule them all pose from Lord of the Rings! But seriously this whole bridal party was so fun to work with, they are such a tight knit group of friends and I loved seeing them have the best day together!
Now prepare yourself for plenty more Disney aspects as the reception began! They had a table set up with photos of their bridal parties and families pets and a sign saying that they would be making a donation to the Humane Society in lieu of favours which I just loved!! They had a photo of them when they went to prom together and a whole table of family members wedding days! I love how close both of their families are and it really showed through the whole day!
Disney reference number three! Their table numbers were different Disney characters which were all drawn out and painted by her super talented sister Victoria who is an artist and was also one of her bridesmaids!
And Disney reference number four, they DIY’d lanterns for their bridal party and parents to carry into the reception that also lead into their first dance as husband and wife! The lanterns are from Tangled and they also had their first dance to the song “I See the Light” from the lantern scene of the movie! It was so cute and so personal!
The rest of the night was filled with hilarious and heartfelt speeches from the best man, Derek, Kristine’s maid of honours, her twin sister Natalie and little sister Victoria, and Scott’s sister Laura and his brother Mitch! Followed by beautiful speeches from both of their parents and the bride and groom, and of course the father daughter dance and mother son dances that were so fun and adorable! The whole night you could just feel the love between Kristine and Scott’s family members and friends who all gathered to be together to celebrate such an amazing day!
We ended the night with a night photo incorporating the amazing lanterns handmade by the bride and bridal party from Tangled!
Congratulations Kristine and Scott! Your day was absolutely stunning and I am so honoured have have gotten to meet the two of you, your families and friends and of course capture such a lovely day in your lives together!
