Happy 9 Year Business Anniversary Michelle A Photography
9 years!! I am still in awe that this past Sunday I celebrated 9 whole years in business and yesterday was also the 9 year anniversary of when I booked my first ever wedding! It is so wild that it has been 9 years, in some ways it doesn’t feel like it has been that long and in others it feels like I am right where I need to be. In March of 2013, I logged onto the Government website. I was 21 at the time and still living at home in my super cool blue bedroom, complete with dolphin poster. I remember telling myself that I had 5 years to make it happen, and well here we are 9 years later!
A lot has happened in the past 9 years, I have captured well over 100 weddings, participated in bridal shows, made lots of vendor and clients friends. I have learned a ton about how to run a business and about myself as well. Amazing things have happened, I got to capture a wedding in BC, won second place for one of my ring shots in a world wide contest and have been featured several times for my work. And above all of that I have gotten to live my dream of being a photographer for 9 whole years!
So I figured why not take a little walk down memory lane! I have been capturing weddings since 2013 so I have added wedding photos from every year since. It is so cool to see where I started vs. where I am now. I am still so grateful for those couples who placed their trust in me so early in my career. In honesty, I am grateful for every single couple, family and person who has supported my business and placed trust in me to capture their memories!
So don’t mind me as I drop myself in iced coffee and tears as I reminisce about the last 9 years of M.A.P!
