Michelle and Randy’s September Wedding

Forest City National

Michelle and Randy said I do at one of my all time favourite wedding venues Forest City National this past September and I am so excited that it has made it’s way onto the blog today! Their day was full of laughs and tears, lovely details and the most amazing sunset that ended off a perfect day! I love getting to capture weddings at Forest City National, it has everything you could ever want out of a wedding venue! A beautiful reception space, delicious food, amazing staff and it over looks the water which makes for amazing images!

We began the day as we normally do capturing bride and groom details and them both getting ready for the day! I love the colour scheme Michelle chose, the light pinks mixed with navy blue is always a favourite colour combo as they photograph beautifully!

Bridesmaid first looks are quickly becoming a favourite of mine, I have done father daughter and bride and groom first looks several times but bridesmaids first looks are a little newer and I love the candid moment between the bride and her best friends!

We then headed just around the corner to begin their ceremony at the stunning Holy Angels Catholic Church in St Thomas! It was such a lovely ceremony with a beautiful backdrop!

Once the ceremony came to an end we made the drive back to Forest City National in London to photograph their reception details! How amazing is their head table backdrop?! Michelle’s father made it and it suited their vision perfectly!

We then headed outside to capture the bridal party, bridesmaids and groomsmen before taking plenty of couples photos and heading over to their cocktail reception outside on the patio!

Then the reception officially began, we had lots of laughs as the bridal party entered the room before sitting down for a delicious meal! Bonus points for having salmon as a dinner choice because it’s one of my all time favs!

I snuck outside quickly during some reception downtime to capture some ring shots (of course my favourite thing to photograph) and as the sun began to set we ended up with the most beautiful sunset/night photo overlooking the water! It is one of my all time favourite photos I have ever taken, that backlight and that sunset equals heart eyes!

The rest of the night was full of loving speeches, lots of laughs and some tears, an adorable first dance between husband and wife and heart felt dances with their parents! We then said our good byes as the party was getting started!
