Good-Bye 2017 ~ Michelle A Photography’s Year In Review

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday’s! I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and Christmas with family and friends and are celebrating today with some good deals and getting in some Boxing Day shopping! Today on the blog I am sharing all the wonderful things that happened this past year, which is pretty crazy to say that in just a few short days we will be done 2017 and on to bigger and better things in the new year to come!

Something’s I am already crazy excited for in 2018 are, getting to celebrate one whole year of marriage to my best friend, getting to travel to Christina Lake British Columbia in June to photograph a wedding and also getting to capture my first same sex wedding! 2018 is looking pretty sweet, but I need to end the 2017 year off right with a little year in review!

So here we go, what did 2017 have in store for myself and Michelle A Photography?

To start off I celebrated 4 amazing years of doing what I love and 1 full year of being 100% full time in my business! Which I celebrated with some cake and a little photoshoot with a giant number 4 balloon that I got some crazy looks about! I also entered my first photography contest, the Shoot and Share contest which I am excited to enter again in 2018 and won second place in the ring category out of over 8000 images!

I also participated in 2 London Bridal Expo‘s at the Western Fair Grounds, in January and September and met so many amazing couples and made some new vendor friends! I made a major change in my business in September by completely re-branding which was an amazing experience and it really made me love my brand again!

On a more personal note, I got married to my best friend in May and got to take a lovely honeymoon to the Dominican Republic for a week of relaxation! We also celebrated 6 months married and 8 years of being together!

I also posted 6 months worth of my new blog series, The Adventures of Samson and Michelle which aims to share my life with my little corgi Samson and also map our crazy adventures! We celebrated his first time in the water at the beach, his first pup-a-uccino from Starbucks and his second birthday!

Now back onto the business side of things, I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely high school friends maternity photos, 2 amazing branding sessions with vendors who I adore, Jessica from Bonafide Events Studio and Anna from Devorah Beauty! I captured two very different yet amazing styled sessions with vendors who I am lucky enough to call friends and I even got to photograph my little sister and her boyfriend for the first time!

I LOVE engagement session and I got to travel all over London and area this year to capture some amazing love stories! Here are some of my favourites!

I also had the pleasure of getting to catch up with several past 2016 brides and grooms and document some milestones in their married lives together with an anniversary shoot!

And of course last but not least, all of the amazing wedding day’s I got to be apart of! I seriously love what I do and I am so lucky to have met all of my lovely 2017 couples!
