My Engagement Photos

On May 13th my fiancé Tylor and I had our own engagement photos done and it was one incredible experience! We headed over to Springbank Park in the evening to meet Sophie of Raw Footage Photography who has also done promo photos for me in the winter and is our lovely wedding photographer for our wedding in May of next year. I love the way the magnolia trees and cherry blossom trees look in photos and wanted to incorporate these beautiful trees into our images!

When we started we also wanted to have our corgi Samson in some of the photos and as an 8 month old puppy he’s not always the easiest to get to sit still, but Sophie managed to get him to stay for a couple of photos and I love them!! I love the idea of engagement photos and encourage my brides and grooms to also book an engagement session. They are a great way to get to know your photographer better before the wedding day and also a good experience to have to capture some more casual and fun professional photos together!!

We were so lucky that later on in the evening we got a lovely sunset and as a photographer I was so excited! Overcast weather is beautiful for photos but I am a sucker for a good sunset. We ventured down by the water to a little place Tylor and I used to walk down to when we first started dating and just as we got down there the sun came out! It was a perfect night and also a perfect day as I got to have my hair and makeup professionally done for the first time in my life by Selah Vie Makeup Artistry and also treated myself to a manicure from Gelous Beauty Bar!

It was a lovely day all together and I LOVE my engagement photos!

I can’t wait to do it all again in less then a year when we say I Do at Century Wedding Barn on May 27th 2017!
