Charity Mini Sessions

Today on the blog I am sharing the amazing people who booked my charity mini sessions back at the beginning of May! Around Christmas time last year I really sat down and went over all the things I would like to do in my business for the 2018 year, and one of the biggest thing (also on my top 10 list of goals) was to donate to a charity who I felt was doing a lot of good in the city of London! I thought the best way in order for me to achieve this goal was to hold a special day of mini sessions and donate half of the proceeds to charity!
I chose a charity focusing on helping animals especially dogs in need as I am a huge dog lover! I also wanted to choose a charity that I had been following for quite awhile and have seen how they operate, so I could not have thought of a better organization than Second Chance Auction Animal Rescue right here in London!
I released the booking for my charity sessions a month in advance and was lucky enough to have 5 amazing people book a session with me! This included, family and past brides which is always an honour to have couples come back to me for another type of session! First up was past bride Carly with her 3 month old baby Elliott! He was so good for all of his photos and even flashed me some smiles for the camera! Also since Carly’s mom and grandmother tagged along for the images we were able to capture a generation photo which I am sure they will treasure forever!
Next up was Kendra and her puppy Jax! Jax had us laughing the whole session and even jumped off of one of the small wooden bridges in the gardens at Springbank (obviously he did not go far and he was perfectly fine!) which made us both laugh quite a bit!
Next was past bride Kristine and her amazing family! Her parents are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary this year and Kristine and her sisters thought an updated family photoshoot would be the perfect Mother’s Day gift! I loved getting to catch up with all of them, Kristine’s wedding is one of my all time favourites and I always feel so welcomed by this amazing family!
After a quick dinner break we started up again with Chris, James and their adorable boys Brantley and Colton! Chris is Tylor’s cousin and I always love getting to hangout with these cuties at family functions so I was pretty excited to take some cute photos of them! Colton was a little shy at the beginning of the session but by a few minutes in he was smiling big for all of his photos!
Last but certainly not least, I got to take some updated images of my aunt, uncle and cousins! Oh and their sweet dog Jasper, I am super close with my mom’s side of the family and my aunt Kathi (who is my mom’s twin!) so it was awesome getting to hangout and take some new photos of everyone and also capture their first set of photos with 2 year old Jasper who is a chocolate lab with LOTS of personality!
I can’t thank everyone enough who chose to book a slot for my charity sessions, I am so pleased to say that I was able to donate $350 to SCAAR! Also because these sessions were such a big success I am truly thinking about hosting some more later this year in the fall with half of all proceeds going to charity again!
