Julie and Jared’s Summer Wedding Day!

Another sweet summer wedding is making it’s way onto the blog today and I am so excited to share all about it! With the weather being as nice as it has lately I can’t help but start to get super excited for spring and summer and hopefully all of the weddings and sessions that go along with the warm weather! Blogging summer weddings makes me even more excited for this upcoming season, even though things are still tough for the wedding industry I am feeling positive about 2021’s wedding season. Julie and Jared were among my 2020 couples who had to change their entire wedding day plans due to Covid, but I am so glad they ended up still choosing to get married on their original date of August 8th last year!
Due to all of the venue rules in regards to the pandemic, Julie and Jared decided to move their wedding to Julie’s parents backyard in Springfield Ontario. It was the most perfect day, we had stunning sunny weather, a gorgeous sunset and got to be outside for the reception which is always such a treat! We also got a stunning sunset for their engagement session at Western University which you can check out on the blog here!
My second shooter Shanna from Lace and Lavender Photography headed to capture the groom getting ready photos while I headed over to the bride. We then met up for the first look which are some of my favourite images from the day! I absolutely adore first looks, I always get so happy when couples decide to go that direction on their wedding day. Following the first look we captured bride and groom portraits and then the whole wedding party, making sure to also grab some of those mask photos!
The rest of the day was full of lots of laughs, the most adorable ceremony, sweet speeches and some photos with a confetti popper which was absolutely perfect considering Julie and Jared’s wedding hashtag was #throwtheconnfedy. A play on both of their last names!
It was such an honour to meet Julie and Jared and I wish them so much happiness in their lives together!
