Vendor Spotlight: Invited by Dani
London Ontario Wedding Stationary
It’s time again for another vendor spotlight and this time I am sharing not only one of my good friends but also an amazing business owner, Dani from Invited by Dani! Dani is a wedding invitation and stationary designer based in London Ontario and also has recently branched off into offering a ton of other services, including custom drink-ware and mugs!
I interviewed Dani and asked her some questions that I thought you lovely readers and brides might be interested in knowing about Dani and her company!
So lets begin,
1) First, tell me a little about yourself!
Hello! My name is Dani Vallis and I am the owner of Invited By Dani
2) Tell me a little about your business, how you got started? How many years you have been in business?
Invited by Dani is a wedding and event stationery business that also provides personalized gifts. I started my business in January of 2016 after I was designing invitations for my friends weddings.
3) What made you want to start your own business in the wedding industry?
I decided to start my own business by entering in my first Bridal Show after doing invitations for my friends.
4) Favourite part of your job?
I love expressing the couples theme and ideas into their invitations and seeing their day come together. Another great thing is working with all the local vendors to create style sessions, the days of shooting are lots of fun when creative people get together for the day to make everything look beautiful!
5) What is your favourite wedding trend in your industry for the 2017/2018 year?
Greenery! Large bushy garlands and clean simple invitations with touches of gold.
6) If you could share one huge piece of advice to brides planning their wedding from your job what would it be?
Keep in mind how many people are coming/ how many invitations you need this will drastically change your quote pricing. Also keep it simple, some of your guest may just throw out your invitations after the day and they will definitely be throwing out the envelope. That being said keep an invitation suite for yourself and bring it on your wedding day for the photographer as it makes for a great keepsake!
7) Share one of your favourite moments or stories from a wedding day or client!
I loved creating Elise from Springhill Flowers invitations. Her mother made my Mom’s wedding bouquet 29 years ago so it is fun that it has come full circle!
8) What do you do when you aren’t working? Hobbies?
Something my couples may or may not know is that this is my Hobby! I work a full time job and do this as my hobby business, when I am not designing I am crafting, baking and hanging out with my little family.
