This months educational content blog post is all about some frequently asked questions and other facts about Michelle A Photography. If you are on the hunt for your wedding photographer, this blog is for you! It is a collection of the most asked questions about how I manage my photography business and some things I never charge extra for as a photographer!
Wedding Photography FAQ’s
Q: How long have you been in business for?
A: Michelle A Photography has been in business for 10 years! In that time I have captured well over 100 weddings and lots of engagement sessions.
Q: Where are you based?
A: I am based out of London and St Thomas Ontario but offer weddings to any couple in Southwestern Ontario.
Q: Do you direct and pose during sessions and weddings?
Please do not worry about what to do with your hands or feeling awkward in front of the camera. I got you! I will always direct you in several different poses while also using little tricks to grab those natural candid portraits!
Q: Do you have Liability Insurance?
A: Yes! I want everything to be protected for your special day.
Q: Are you fully vaccinated against Covid-19?
A: Yes! I have 4 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Q: How would you describe your photography style?
A: I describe my style as being colourful, joyful and candid! I always aim to get a mix of posed and candid moments through out your engagement session and wedding day!
Q: Can we bring our dog to our engagement session or wedding?
Yes! There is a second shooter included in all wedding collections so that no important moments are missed and you have different perspectives on your wedding day!
Q: Do your wedding collections include and engagement session?
Yes! I include a complimentary 1-hour engagement session in all wedding collections so that I can get to know you better as a couple and you can get comfortable being in front of the camera in a more laid back setting!
Q: When can I expect to see my wedding gallery?
A: My turnaround time for weddings is 4-6 weeks. Then I will send the online gallery your way so that you can have a special moment browsing through and reminiscing about your special day!
Q: Do you offer wedding albums?
A: Yes! I offer albums as an add-on to any wedding or elopement package so that you can have a printed heirloom for years to come. Important images aren’t meant to just sit on your computer forever, an album will showcase all of your favourite moments and tell the story of your day!
Q: Do you use the photos online?
A: I hope too. It is in my contract that I can post the photos online but of course if you have any issues please let me know!

Things I Do Not Charge Extra for as a Wedding Photographer
Sneak Peeks
As a wedding photographer I will never charge extra for sneak peeks. I always share sneaks within 2-3 days of the wedding online and always send a specialize gallery of sneak peeks to my wedding couple!
Additional Coverage Time Under an Hour
I have been a wedding photographer for almost 11 years, this means I know the ins and outs of weddings very well. That being said, weddings run late! Especially once the reception begins, so many things happen within a short period time and sometimes those things run a little over your allotted time. Anything under an hour, I will not charge you an extra for!
Timeline & Wedding Planning Help
During our time together, I pride myself in making your wedding photography experience as stress-free as possible. This means that I value quick and open communication, if you have a question I will do my best to help! This also means that I help all of my wedding couple make their wedding day timeline and will consult on how much time we will need for every aspect of the day.
Welcome Guides & Helpful Wedding Resources
Once you book your wedding with me, you will receive a welcome guide with helpful information about the Michelle A Photography experience and wedding planning. You will also receive other helpful resource emails throughout our time together and check in emails to make sure we are always on the same page and to help with anything you may need!
