Wedding Resources from a Bride!

I have been planning this blog post for quite awhile, even before my wedding day. I knew of course that I couldn’t post this one until after the wedding as some bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts are in this post as well! I love writing posts from me as a bride instead of just me as a photographer! I have learned so much from this wedding planning process and also from having my own wedding and marrying the love of my life! So today I am sharing 5 of the best wedding resources that helped me plan, decorate and gift for my wedding day at the end of May!
Honestly I am not entirely sure if resources if the right word but these five websites, stores and vendors have really helped me and my fiance out when it came to a lot of our wedding stuff so as always lets begin!
Not only is this awesome site Canadian but it has so much stuff to offer! They sell everything from gifts to decor and they have so much stuff that is so unique and most of it you can also personalize, Tylor and I used this site for our bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts as well as some personalized stickers for our favours (which were pots we painted mint to match our wedding colours and included some sunflower seeds for our guests to plant). My favourite part about this site was that they had so many options for personalization, for example the jewelry boxes I gifted to all my lovely bridesmaids had a saying from one of my favourite movies Mean Girls and then each had their name also printed into the top! The Groomsmen’s gifts were wooden flasks also personalized with their title, name and our wedding date! Their shipping was quick and affordable plus the Canadian part meant no conversion which I was a fan of!
Homesense is one of the best places in London for local wedding decor! We got all of our picture frames for some of our decor, our card box and some cute signs for super affordable prices! They have such a huge selection so finding something that suites your theme or colours is pretty easy and there are also several locations around London that tend to have different items! Our colours were mint and gold, every time I went into find some more frames I had no issue what so ever getting some that matched what we already had!
This one if probably no surprise because of how often I talk about how amazing Dani is, not only did she design all of our signage for our wedding she also did our wedding invitations, save the dates, seating chart and also did some video of our wedding day (I can’t wait to see)! She is an amazing graphic designer and will take anything you are looking for and use that to make incredible designs to suite your wedding theme! She also does some stuff for my business as well so needless to say I would and do recommend her to anyone planning their wedding day!
This one is kind of random and may not be super helpful for everyone planning but if you are looking to get a canvas it’s worth checking out, in our case we used this as our guest book and had all of our guests sign it. Even if you are looking to get a canvas for after the wedding day with your favourite images Canvas on Demand is pretty awesome. The only downside is it is an American company so you do need to pay conversion but they have such good deals all the time that it kind of makes up for it! We ended up getting a 16×20 canvas for a quarter of the regular price because of one of their sales and the quality is amazing! They have sales all the time so if you are looking for a canvas print check out this site!
Last but not least on this list is Michaels which I am sure most brides have already discovered but they always have a pretty decent wedding section, which worked out great for me with our colours but they also have a lot of other options as well! We got all of our banners, table numbers and some more decor from here and again they always have sales and coupons if you keep your eyes out for them! We have several located around London and they also have a large selection of fake flowers, marque letters and anything else creative you may be looking for while planning!
