Rebecca and Keaton’s Barn Wedding Day!

Continuing on with my September weddings today on the blog with Rebecca and Keaton’s stunning barn wedding at the lovely Willow Creek Barn Events, which may be one of the most beautiful venues I have ever had the pleasure of capturing someones wedding day! Funny enough it always seems like the hottest wedding days of the year fall in September and Rebecca and Keaton’s was no exception as they win hottest wedding day of 2018 by a landslide! It was over 40 degrees that day but that didn’t stop them from having the most perfect day ever and thankfully there was a creek near the barn for some cooling off!
We began the day at a cute little cottage in Grand Bend to capture Keaton get ready for the day! I loved all of the groom details I got to capture, usually it’s all about the brides but Keaton had a custom watch with their wedding date engraved into the back, super hero socks for him and all of his groomsmen and a navy suit which always photograph well!
We then headed right down the street to Oakwood Resort in Grand Bend to capture Rebecca’s lovely details and her mom and sister helping her into her beautiful dress!
Once getting ready was finished we made the 30 minute drive to Willow Creek Barn Events to begin photographing the stunning details Rebecca and Keaton chose for the day! Navy blue, gold and burgundy is such a lovely colour combination especially for fall and they complimented the day and the barn beautifully!
Rebecca and Keaton chose the cutest idea for their wedding favours, they had custom M&M’s made of their initials, a little bride and groom and their sweet dog!
After finishing up details the bride had arrived and we were ready for the first look under the big willow tree down by the creek! I adore first looks so much and seeing Keaton’s face when he saw Rebecca for the first time brought tears to my eyes!
We then started their bride and groom images on the beautiful grounds at Willow Creek!
Shortly after we captured the bridesmaids, groomsmen and full bridal party before heading inside to cool off a bit before the ceremony began!
Their ceremony was the sweetest and even though it was super hot lots of smiles and tears were had!
After the ceremony we headed out back of the property to capture some more bride and groom images in the wild flower fields, we may have had to hop in an RV and ride through the creek to get there but it was totally worth it for these beautiful flowers!
Then cocktail hour began, we wandered around to capture their ring shots and candids of guests mingling! Some even ended up in the creek to cool off as the sun started to set it seemed to only get warmer and warmer! We took advantage of the beautiful sun though with some more bride and groom images before heading inside the barn for the reception!
Their reception was full of loving speeches, lots of laughs and tears and delicious desserts and dinner! We snuck out to the dirt road out front at golden hour for some final bride and groom shots before getting ready for their first dance under the large chandelier hanging in the barn!
Congratulations Rebecca and Keaton! Your day was absolutely stunning and I am so honoured have have gotten to meet the two of you, your families and friends and of course capture such a lovely day in your lives together!
