2022 Year In-Review
Well hello there 2023!
Man oh man was 2022 ever an incredible year! After 2020 and 2021, I was definitely hoping for a more normal year for the industry. Over the last couple of years of covid weddings and slower seasons, 2022 has been a super busy year for weddings and sessions. It was virtually non-stop from May until October for Michelle A Photography and although it was a slight shock to the system, I could not be more grateful! I got to be apart of such amazing wedding days for my own business and second shooting for wonderful colleagues. I held three different special mini session dates and captured lots of memories for some super sweet families and couples!
I want to take a second in this 2022 year in-review to say a HUGE thank you to all of my amazing couples and families who entrusted me with their precious memories this past year. Because of you, I get to continue to do the job that I love and it makes me feel so thankful for every single one of you!
I also got to celebrate some business milestones, I celebrated 9 years in business, made the cover of The Wedding Ring Magazine with a sweet 2021 wedding and collaborated on new promo photos with a good photographer friend of mine!
2022 wasn’t just amazing from a work stand point, I got to do so many things that we weren’t able to do through the height of covid. Tylor and I got to attend a sweet wedding as guests (the first time in over 7 years), I got to see some of my favourite bands live in concert and we also got to take our first vacation since 2019. We drove out to the east coast this past September to go whale watching and explore Nova Scotia! We also celebrated Samson’s 7th birthday and rocked another halloween costume, we did Mario and Luigi!
I also included some behind the scenes in this post that my amazing second shooter Anneka captured through the year. I have and will be sharing more behind the scenes as we enter into the new year. I still have so much goodness to share from 2022 on social media.
So here is to an amazing new year, I am excited to be photographing my first wedding of the year next month, celebrating 10 whole years as a photographer this coming March and I have some SUPER exciting plans for this upcoming year!
