2024 Year In-Review
And just like that 2024 has come to an end and we have entered into 2025! As usual, this is likely to be one of the longest blog posts of the year as I recap all of the weddings, sessions, minis, behind the scenes and personal memories from last year.
2024 held so many amazing memories and will always hold a special place in my heart. From capturing around 20 weddings and elopements to getting to take our dream trip to Japan, this past year was pure magic. Then when you add in finding out that Tylor and I are getting a little nephew AND my sister got engaged in France…well 2024 was just epic!
It was definitely a busy year but in the best way. So please enjoy this little jaunt down memory lane. Starting off with some faves from all of the weddings, elopement, sessions and minis I got to capture in 2024.
I was fully busy with weddings last year, and honestly every single one was so perfect! I also got to tag along with some of my favourite people and photographers to second shoot for them as well through the year. When I say I adore weddings I really do mean it.
I also held 3 mini days in 2024, spring, beach and fall! All of them ended up 100% fully booked and were amazing. I can’t wait to kick start the plans for 2025 minis because I have some new ideas in the works!
I was so lucky to have some amazing second shooters with me over this past year at my weddings! Thank you, Cassie from Hope Harbour Photography, Meg from Meg Downey Photography and Jacquie from Blush West Photography for the awesome behind the scenes!
Oh and a bonus behind the scenes from my lovely repeat clients and friends Kathleen and Matthew with their little kiddo Terry!
I also had some personal fun with my camera this year! From new promo photos to updated photos for Samson’s 9th birthday, lots of memories were captured. I even pretended to be a nature photographer for an evening and got some pretty cool shots of the Northern Lights earlier this year!
Tylor and I also had our own updated family photos taken this year as well. Done by the talented Cassie aka my bestie from Hope Harbour Photography. They are all over our house and I am obsessed!
Now on to the final category in this blog post, the personal iPhone photos! I really wanted to prioritize capturing more personal moments in my life and this is just a little handful of the thousands of photos I took in 2024.
Starting off strong with some fave moments from our once in a lifetime trip to Japan! We spent 18 days there and travelled all over. It really was a dream come true and I really hope we can go back one day because I am pretty sure we all fell massively in love!
I added a few more tattoos in 2024, we found out we were going to be an aunt and uncle AND had a sweet pumpkin themed baby shower for my sister in-law. We attended two family weddings (where I got to be a guest!), my sister got engaged in France AND asked me to be her maid of honour and I celebrated my 33rd birthday!
And there you have it! 2024 in a nutshell, it is so hard to narrow down a whole year into one blog post but it was so magical getting to relive what an amazing year it was while making this.
I also want to end off this post by saying a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who supported me and my business in 2024! It means the world to me that I can continue to do what I love and document such special moments for couples and families. Here it to an amazing 2025 filled with love and fun!
