Hello June
So here we are, it’s June, last week I muted all of my social media outlets in order to amplify black voices and share their words through my Instagram stories. I have chosen to begin posting my normal content again but I will still be sharing posts from BPOC to my stories as well as learning and educating myself offline. The world is going through a much needed change this year with the pandemic and the protests for Black Lives Matter and I hope with all of my heart that 2020 will be the year of massive change as a race. There has been so much going on since 2020 began, we are only in June and so many thing have happened that will go down in history!
Today I am sharing a short light hearted blog post as well as some exciting news. Last week would have been the first Tuesday of the month where I usually post some cute photos of my dog for my personal blog series, The Adventures of Samson and Michelle. So here you go, some cute photos of my dog! Due to the pandemic we were limited on locations and ideas for June’s photos, since bringing Samson home as a puppy I have always wanted to get some photos of him with the apple blossom trees at Springbank Park. Lucky enough for us we found a pretty tree on our normal walking route and took the opportunity to snap a few photos!
On the exciting news front, PHOTOGRAPHERS CAN WORK AGAIN!! As of yesterday Ford announced that photographers may resume working as of this coming Friday, this includes wedding ceremonies of up to 10 people (9 including your photographer)!! Myself along with several photographers around the province have been working hard to get the government to allow us to work again so I am so grateful to be included in phase 2 of reopening businesses!
So if you are looking to get your session in the books, whether that be an engagement session, family session or small intimate ceremony please reach out! I am also so SO happy that I can be apart of all the small ceremonies for my 2020 couples!!
So here is to a month of change!
