2020 has caused so many couples to change their wedding plans this year and starting with Jessica and Lucas’s backyard ceremony I am beginning to share all of my 2020 weddings, ceremonies, elopements and sessions that have been effected by covid! Weddings this year have been thrown for a loop, they fall into so many different categories now from elopements to ceremonies and nothing else. Plans have been changed and then changed again and days have been split up to accommodate ceremonies and hopefully a future reception. Jessica and Lucas decided to tie the knot on their original date in June while following all of the covid guidelines that were in place at the time and are still planning for a sweet backyard reception next summer!
They had planned to have their wedding in their backyard from day one but obviously were not planning to only be able to have such a small number of people in attendance. I popped by for an hour or so to just capture Jessica and Lucas in their wedding attire, some photos with their witnesses and even some photos with their sweet cats (bonus of getting married at your own home)! It may not have been what they were planning for but I am honoured that I was asked to document this special day!

It was such an honour to meet Jessica and Lucas and be apart of such a beautiful day! I wish them so much happiness in their lives together and I cannot wait to celebrate again next year!
