Jessica and Pete’s July Wedding Day!

Another sweet summer wedding day is making it’s way onto the blog today and in turn making me seriously miss those warm, sunny summer wedding days! Jessica and Pete could not have asked for better weather for their day especially since there were sever thunderstorms all around Chatham including London, we got lucky and although it was a windy one the weather stayed hot and sunny all day! I first met Jessica through WeddingWire as she messaged me to inquire about her and Pete’s summer wedding day, we met in person shortly after that and we chatted all about how they met chaperoning a school trip together for the school they both teach at and the rest is history!
As their day rolled around myself and my amazing second shooter Steph from Behind the Scenes Photography hopped in the car and made the hour drive from London to Chatham, be began the day at Pete’s parents home capturing Pete getting ready for the day, some candids of the groomsmen hanging out and what I am always the most excited for some images of the “best dog” Barry! We then made the drive into downtown Chatham to the prettiest hotel ever, Retro Suites to capture Jessica and her girls get ready for the day. The details were perfect and I love that Jessica chose something completely different and had her girls in white on her wedding day!
As the ceremony grew closer we drove two minutes down the road to the church, their ceremony was filled with lots of laughs and you could feel and see all the love that their families, friends and guests have for these two! Following the ceremony we drove back down to Jessica’s aunt and uncles house where we did the rest of the bridal party and bride and groom images! The house was so beautiful, even though it was so sunny and we didn’t have a ton of shade to work with the gardens around the property were to die for and we took full advantage of them!
Once photos were done we headed over to the Chatham Armoury and the rest of the night was filled with stunning reception details (they had a whole canopy above the head table made of greenery), the funniest golf inspired entrances, the sweetest first dance followed by a delicious dinner and thoughtful speeches and ended with the usual night photos!
It was such an honour to meet Jessica and Pete and be apart of such a beautiful day! I wish them so much happiness in their lives together and it was so much fun meeting all of their family and friends!
