Andrew and Leanne’s September wedding at Fernwood Hills

Today on the blog I am continuing my September weddings with Andrew and Leanne’s wedding day at Fernwood Hills, which is one of my absolute favourite venues!

I first met these two when they emailed me about booking a consultation for their wedding day and shortly after we set up a skype meeting. They live in BC and were planning their wedding day in London because this is where Leanne is originally from. When they decided to book I was thrilled and we got to meet in person in May to chat more about their lovely plans for their big day! I also happened to get engaged to my Fiance the same day Andrew proposed to Leanne, August 8th of 2015!

We began the rainy day with Andrew and his groomsmen getting ready at an amazing AirBNB downtown on Queens. This house was amazing, it had old home charm with a modern take, if I could live there I totally would! We captured Andrew’s details and of course some candids of his mom helping with the boutonniere and such. All of his groomsmen also had matching pocket watches which I though was an awesome touch to the day.

After finishing up the grooms photos, we headed down to the Best Western Lamplighter Inn and Conference Centre to capture Leanne’s details and her getting ready with her girls!

The weather on this wedding day was crazy! It was pouring rain for most of the day but it stopped just in time for their outdoor ceremony at Fernwood Hills just outside of London in Komoka. They really wanted a venue with a ton of nature as they are nature lovers and also got engaged on the top of a mountain so Fernwood was the perfect backdrop with all of its greenery and forested area!

We continued their photos after the ceremony with the bridal party, how gorgeous are these flowers by Springhill Flowers!

One of my absolute favourite things about this venue is this swing. I love this bridal portrait of Leanne, her expression is so genuine and she looks stunning!

And another amazing aspect to this venue is the old decrepit piano that is at the back of the property in the woods. It made for some lovely detail shots of her bouquet and rings.

Once we finished up all their bride and groom portraits, we headed to their reception venue, Caradoc Sands Golf Course in Strathroy. I do love this venue as well for receptions and their food is to die for! Also how cute is this cake?! It was a total surprise to them for the wedding day and it suited everything so perfectly.
