How to Include your Dog in Wedding Day Plans!

As many of you know I am a little dog obsessed and I also love doing educational blog posts so I thought why not combine the two and do a short and sweet blog post all about how to include your fur baby in your wedding day plans!

This blog post is for the dog lovers, the dog mammas and the dog obsessed! While planning your wedding you may be wondering how to have your dog be apart of such a special day, then this post may give you some ideas on how to have your furry friends be incorporated!!

Include your dog in your Engagement Session!

If you have a dog together you may want to bring him or her and include them in your engagement session! It is a great way to get some professional images of your baby while also having some family photos done as well! I personally included my corgi Samson in our engagement session and loved having those moments captured of not only us but him as well!

Have your fur baby be your Flower Girl or Ring Bearer!

If you have the means to include your dog on your wedding day why not have him or her be a flower girl or ring bearer during the ceremony! You can have a floral collar or bow tie for your dog to dress them up a little and have them walk down the aisle to be apart of the most important part of your day, your wedding vows!

Have a moment with them during the getting ready portion of the day!

Not all venues let pets and animals on the premises but you may still want a moment with your dog on your special day, why not include him or her in the getting ready portion of the day and take the time for a quick bride (or groom) and dog portrait! They are an important part in your lives so why not have them be included in one of the most important days!

One last tip I would like to share and actually did for my own wedding, we were not allowed to have Samson on the premises as our venue does not allow pets or animals. So we had someone bring him out for some photos after our first look out front of the property! It was honestly one of our favourite moments of the day and I treasure having those images with Samson from our wedding!
