Kelsey and Greg’s Winter Wonderland Wedding

Today on the blog I am sharing a super duper important wedding day, I may be a little bias but this is hands down one of my favourite weddings and one of my favourite couples ever! On February 10th one of my best friends married the love of her life on the most perfect snowy Saturday, considering all Kelsey and Greg wanted for their wedding day was snow mother nature sure did deliver!
Kelsey and Greg met working at Future Shop, where I also had the pleasure of meeting these two sweet people! We worked at Future Shop together until we all got laid off with the closing of the store in early 2015 but remained close friends so when Kelsey messaged me that Greg had popped the question while on a hike near a frozen waterfall I screamed pretty loud!
We began their wedding day at one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the city, Windermere Manor! It is always one of my favourite venues to capture, it has such a rustic charm that you can make your own with any sort of decor that suites your style! The best part to is that everything from getting ready to reception was done at the venue which meant no travelling around in the snow! We captured Greg’s details and him getting all ready for the day before heading to check out their beautiful ceremony and reception set up!
Kelsey and Greg’s details were so stunning and fit their winter wedding perfectly! With their Gatsby themed stationary, blue sequin table clothes and lovely white florals everything screamed them and I loved it! Plus their guest book was a custom made hockey jersey which is perfect for these hockey lovers!
Once the ceremony and reception details were all captured we headed back to the hotel to begin Kelsey’s details and of course her getting ready with her two best friends! One of my favourite moments from the day was when Kelsey gave Jess and Aziza her bridesmaids their gifts that were custom made bracelets with the coordinates of where they first met in elementary school!
Kelsey and Greg decided to do a first look on their wedding day and I couldn’t have been happier! I love first looks, they are such a special moment for the bride and groom to have together!
We then went right into bride and groom portraits, the snow was just the most perfect setting and really matched their wedding day vision!
Of course Kelsey had to have at least one image of her and Greg with her beloved VW Gordo!
We then wandered down closer to the wooded area behind the hotel to photograph the beautiful bridesmaids, hilarious groomsmen and images of this super fun bridal party!
Another one of my favourite moments from the day was that Kelsey and Greg brought framed photos of their parents on their wedding days to include in their photos! This was such a beautiful way to include their parents in their wedding images!
Once images were done the ceremony began, it was full of loving vows, lots of smiles and of course a ton of love! Kelsey secretly took singing lessons for 6 months leading up to the wedding with Greg having no idea so that she could surprise him by singing to him as her vows! I may or may not have needed to stop myself from crying, it was just the sweetest moment!
Thanks to the first look we were able to head right into the reception! The night was full of laughs, tears and amazing stories, we got to listen to speeches from friends and family and of course ended the night with some important dances!
Congratulations Kelsey and Greg! Your day was absolutely stunning and I am so honoured have have gotten to meet the two of you, your families and friends and of course capture such a lovely day in your lives together!
